5x17: 99 Problems

5x19: Hammer of the gods
5x20: The devil you know

Source: Where else but SpoilerTV.

How is my SPN Lockdown doing? GREAT! And I am proud! I haven't watched the weekly sneaky preview clips (I am strong as usual when it comes to the weekly clips.) And I haven't read anything about the 100th Episode!!!

Oh but wait! You don't believe me???!!!! Ok.. I can tell you this!

The season five finale was originally called Swan Dive...
The season finale is actually about Castiel went undercover at the Winter Olympic as an athletic, he invented a secret move called the Swan Dive in figure skating. Meanwhile, Dean and Sam will not appear in the finale because they have been kidnapped by crazy fangirls.

I also heard there is going to be an episode called My Nose is Itchy.
Whose nose? That, my friend, is the $66 question. And why is it itchy? If I tell you, the writer (I can't say which one) is gonna tickle me to death.

Oh and.. the season six premier will be called Eyebrow Raising.
Apparently, Jensen Ackles is going to stare at the camera in the entire episode, thinking about life, life and 'how much longer do I need to raise my eyebrow?"

Satisfied?

(Updated) Batman: Under the Red Hood To Release July 27th 2010

"Texan actor and one of the CW’s biggest stars Jensen Ackles of the TV series Supernatural has been working on his latest movie role in Batman: Under the Red Hood....."

Batman: Under the Red Hood is due to release July 27th 2010 according to Right Cinema. They should write: The hottest and most talented Jensen Ackles, who should be Captain America.

Update

Writer, Judd Winick talked to Comic Book Resources about the the project Red Hood, upcoming DVD release and also Jensen Ackles as Jason Todd/ Red Hood.

I say, this story has the potential to be on the big screen! Make Batman: Under the Red Hood into a live action movie and get Jensen Ackles to play the role!!!

At Salute to Supernatural on the weekend, Jensen mentioned that
he spent 3 hours yesterday [Saturday] doing final voice over for Red Hood. And he got voice over job because a WB project and studio said why not use him. [Note to WB, invest in Jensen on more live action movies PLEASE!!!] Jensen also did a VO job for Tron the video game.

(Pictured: The Comic
"Red Hood: Lost Days" debuts June 2. Does this not scream Jensen to you??)

I Need a Coffee: Salute to Supernatural LA Con 2010

Yes. I confess. I am a crazy Supernatural fan. And I am proud of it.

For the past 2 days, I've been up in odd hours to catch the live tweets from Super-Awesome fans who were at the LA Con. Thanks for their passion and effort, I was able to feel like I was there!

That coffee is long overdue. I am soooo sleepy!

From what I can see, Kurt Fuller was a real sport, it was his first time. He was really funny. Mark Pellegrino went ballistic with the F words. It was sooo funny to read about it! Jacob, I love you!

It seemed that fans were asking really solid and intelligent and non-boring questions, which was great, because not only it was refreshing for fans, it was always great for the actors. It's better to hear something you've never heard before, including what hairdryer Jared used. Whoever asked that question was awesome! See! Now you know he uses a diffuser.

Can I suggest to the event organisers, to be creative with the panel. Perhaps they can arrange more joint panel like an All-Angels or All-Demons Panel OR an Angel-allstars versus Demon-allstars Panel. I think Misha will be great with Mark or Richard; Chuck, I mean Rob, will be great with Kurt. Misha can do a joint panel with either J2 or Jim. Even better! Have a Winchester Panel - with all young, grown up Winchesters on one panel (including young Mary & John, old Mary & John, Grandpa & Grandma and J2). Mix it up!

Having said that, I'll watch Jensen drinking coffee or yawn.

Anyway, go nuts with the LACon catch on SuperWiki or YouTube.

I want to bake a cake for Supernatural 100th episode

I am on Supernatural lock down, literally!

It's going to be hard but we can do it! As blogged earlier, I am on a COMPLETE lock down at the Panic Room for the 100th episode of Supernatural. Meaning, I won't be reading news about it, including synopsis, casting news, sneak previews and TVC.

I can picture this: Eric Kripke to pop up from a box and says "SURPRISE!"

The synopsis for the 100th episode is up. So go to the trusted sources, WinchesterBros or Hunters' Addict or Supernatural by Krytonsite for details.

Expect a long review on the 100th episode. I cannot wait to blog about it!!!

The 100th episode, 5.18 Point of No Return will air on the CW on Thursday 15 April 2010. Episode is
written by Jeremy Carver and directed by Philip Sgriccia.

[Spoilers] Sneaky Previews for Episode 5.16: Dark Side of the Moon

Can't wait! I cannot wait to watch Dark Side of the Force.. Moon.. I mean Moon.

I know I say this every week. But this is really cool! A new *n*e* will be introduced!!
Promo pics and official synopsis can be found here. Guess who is coming back?? OH I love Mama!

Here are the promo and sneaky previews thanks to the WinchesterBros.

He's a zombie and he is a tax payer

Zombies! It must be Thursday.

Supernatural is back.. in style! Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid had a season 1, monster of the week vibe, but it gets better! It was a Bobby centric episode. How often do we see a Bobby centric episode? I have been looking forward to this episode, not only because I've had enough of this long hellatus, because Smallville had a zombie episode earlier this season and I really want to see Jeremy Caver's take on zombies.

I don't watch enough zombies movies, but I've watched 30 Days of Night, one of the 28 Days Later movies (can't remember which one), I am Legend and all the Resident Evil movies, just to name a few. Supernatural was best when they give us their own version of monsters, zombies, creatures, angels and demons etc.

I am glad I didn't see any stereotypical zombies in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Supernatural's zombies have their own personality: the little boy, the tax payer-soccer dad and Karen Singer. They all have a personality before they turned. It wasn't like they were humans before they got a virus or got bitten and then they became zombies. In Supernatural, they were already dead and they knew it, but they went home to their love ones to read, to bake and to pay tax. And then they turned into zombies.

I was expecting to see zombies that have the Resident Evil vibe. But I didn't. Which was great because I was seeing something different. So, I congratulate the team for their writing and their interpretation of zombies. I really enjoy this episode.

While I am on the subject of supernatural creatures on Supernatural, the pattern we've seen so far is very unique to the show. For example, most vampires we've seen in popular culture have the same Interview with the Vampire/ Twilight/ Dracula vibe. But in Supernatural, they are different, starting from the lore to the way the dress and talk. They are more like Criss Angel then Edward, and they don't talk funny. Even I think Moonlight was getting boring, because it was just the same old same old like Angel or Buffy. I am getting to my point.....

I hope Supernatural will give us a God we've never seen before on screen. I'll be totally fine to see another Morgan Freeman, but with all things we'll seen so far on Supernatural (including their take on angels, Michael and Lucifer), I think they might surprise us with their take on God. William Shatner anyone?

OK.. the serious stuff is out of the way! Let's go to my top ten list...
  1. He is a zombie and he is a tax payer.
  2. Zombies, kids... what's the different?
  3. Bobby's apple pie life.. that's a LOT of pies!
  4. What are you my mother? Bite me. (Ah.. be careful what you wish for.)
  5. Why is it always Sam who gets the shit from old ladies?
  6. No Sam, we are his family!
  7. What would you do if this happened to us, Bobby?
  8. Bobby, is that you new wife? No, it's my dead wife.
  9. The Dean and Bobby zombies shoot out totally had the Jus in Bello vibe (and I love JiB)
  10. One more Dawn Ostroff joke, I think she might sue me.
What I didn't get.. but it's totally fine!

- The episode didn't mention what happened to Sam after he got locked up in the panic room at the end of My Bloody Valentine.

- I was hoping to see a zombie cat or zombie jelly-fish, but that's ok. I understand.

So what's next for Death?

It was the first time Death was mentioned since Abandon All Hope. So, assuming Death will continue to be a bitch and keeps fudging around to make Bobby's life difficult in the up-coming episodes, but doesn't Death have a bigger battle to prepare? I mean, Death is one of the Horsemen, so Death is arrogant and
almost invincible like his brothers. Why does he care about Bobby?

Bobby said because he is in the way, he is helping the boys and supporting Team Free Will. But do you think there is something else? I think perhaps, and I stress perhaps, Bobby has another important role in the scheme of things. I mean, why would Death send Karen to delivery a message to Bobby just to warn him? Sure, the zombies were hunting him down at the end of the episode, but my point is, what's with the message? If Death wants you out of the picture, you die, right?

At this point, I just have a feeling there is something about Bobby...

Jeremy Carver, I love you.

Next week... Oh.. next week, I am so excited about next week's episode!!!! Dark Side of the Force.. I mean Moon... Dark Side of the Moon.

Project Tiny: A New Video - The Wardrobe of Dean Winchester in 2D

Totally another excuse for making another Dean Winchester video!! Like.. seriously! Who needs another one?

This is a random idea that just popped up in my mind. Ladies, may I present:

The Wardrobe of Dean Winchester in 2D

Over the years, Dean has wore many identities, from FBI to security; from Priest (twice!) to prisoner and high school coach (not Jason Teague!). Of course, there are the normal stuff he wears such jeans, t-shirts, suits etc.

Here is a collection of photos of Dean Winchester and his wardrobe. Jensen Ackles makes 2D looks sexy.

Photo ideas thanks to you, you, you and you from Twitter. You know who you are!!

Check out other Supernatural stuff on YouTube

Extra Extra!

OK.. you may have seen this already, but I don't care. Here they are! New interview with Jim Beaver and Mark Pellegrino. Both will appear on stage at this weekend's Salute to Supernatural in LA.

Jim Beaver talked to MovieWeb about tonight's episode and season finale. Be ware of spoilers.

Mark Pellegrino talked to TV Guide about Supernatural and Lost. Seriously! I love Jacob.

Geeky is sexy. ComicBookMovie has this feature on Batman: Under the Red Hood. Hear what fans of Batman and Red Hood or DC or whatever have to say about this. The DVD is due to be released in Summer 2010. Stay turned for more details on this.

The official description of the story:
Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood (Jensen Ackles) begins cleaning up Gotham City with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths emerge and old wounds reopen.

Don't forget to watch Supernatural shortly on the CW!

Welcome Back Supernatural (You Sexy Devil You!!)

As the Hellatus began over a month ago, Eric Kripke and his army of writers ran a shape blade slowly across our neck repeatedly and said, “How will we pass the time?"

Well.. Hellatus... Fudge you very much! It's over! Now, the home stretch!!

Reasons You Should Watch Supernatural tonight on the CW:

  • You love Dean and Sam
  • You love Dean only
  • You love Sam only
  • You love Bobby (Like HELLO!!!! How often do we get a Bobby centric episode?)
  • Resident Evil anyone?
  • You love Castiel (OK, he is not in this episode, but who cares.. I mean, I care! It'd be great to see Cas, but he is not in this episode. So stop crying and deal with it! He will be [spoiler] back next week. Feel the love!!)
  • You love Mark Pellegrino (OK, he is not in this episode either, he is busy playing Jacob on Lost. All you Lost fans, if you miss Jacob after it's done, you can watch Pellegrino on Supernatural. He is the Devil Lucifer.)
  • You love the CW so much, you'll watch Supernatural just to watch the Gossip Girl and Vampire Diary TV ads over and over and over again.
  • Your last name is Ostroff.
Episode 5.15 Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid airs on the CW tonight (Thursday 9/8c). Check your local guide for details. Watch the Sneaky Previews here.

DVD Cover Art - Batman: Under The Red Hood

Who's bad? As previously blogged, Jensen Ackles is Jason Todd, Red Hood.

The DVD cover of Batman: Under the Red Hood is released. The DVD will be released on 27 July 2010 (date subject to change.)

Check out the Batman: Under the Red Hood Official website.

23 March 2010

The Human Torch is Captain America

Jensen Ackles was the only reason I Googled about Captain America. Jensen Ackles was the only reason I would pay to watch that movie. Just saying it...

Like most people, I am sick of hearing rumors when names like Chace Crawford and Jim Krasinski kept popping up. If any of the earlier casting
rumors were true (how ironic!), then I was truly disappointed with the audition line-up. Gossip Boy and Jimbo may be good at what they do in Gossip Girl and The Office, but seriously, a hero who could stand next to Iron Man and other Marvel characters? NO FUDGING WAY! I'd be happier to see someone's goldfish or my mum to be Captain America.

Before I go on, let me just say that I HATE it when actors told the press about going for audition before the audition and then updated the press they did the audition but kinda didn't want to talk more coz they didn't want to jinx it. And then they didn't get the role anyway. This first rule about Fight Club is that you don't talk about Fight Club. The second rule about Fight Club is that you don't talk about Fight Club! Four words of wisdom for you! SHUT THE FUDGE UP!

Anyway, so.... Then came rumors about Chris Pine, Ryan Phillippe, Channing Tatum and Chris Evans.. Blah blah blah.. Ok here is the thing.. When I saw the news about Chris Evans was in the running. I said to myself and also on Twitter that: It's not ideal, but it's a choice I can live with and I'll watch this movie. He looks good as the Cap!

And then this morning the internet exploded with news about Chris Evans is confirmed as Captain America. I was like.. OK.. SO how reliable is this? It's not official, until Marvel says so!

But this, this is pretty official..! Unless Jon Favreau is as confused as the fans.

Here is Jon Favreau's Tweet:

I've seen a few movies Chris Evans was in. Fantastic Four, The Nanny Diary and Street King. He was in well-known movies, but with Captain America, his stardom could gone off the roof, just like Christian Bale (who I've loved since he was in Empire of the Son) or Chris Pine. This is IT for Chris Evans. I support this decision. And I look forward to watching Captain America.

But having said that, I still hope Jensen Ackles was the Captain. OH GOD YES! I hope better roles will come to Jensen.

Oh..and can I say, Ryan Reynolds looks crap as anything. Like Green Lantern and everything else he is in. Just saying. He always has the same expression on his face. It's the morning after. Let this be the first and last time I mention his name. The end!

(Updated) Bunny Time! A Very Ben Edlund Supernatural Marathon Twitter Party

"Why does a rabbit always get screwed in a deal? Poor little guy." Dean Winchester

Our first Twitter Party was a hit! It took place on Sunday 21st March at 2pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. We had a very Shapeshifter marathon, we watched Skin, Nightshifter and Monster Movie. We had a great time! And it was soooooo awesome to have friends from different time zones to participate. I normally don't rewatch Skin and Monster Movie, but it's great to have a marathon to rewatch all shapeshifter episodes. It was really awesome!!!

With Easter is just around the corner, I am throwing another Twitter Party! Originally, I just wanted to do an Easter TwitCom on Bad Day at Black Rock. However, one suggestion led to another, we've decided to do a Ben Edlund Marathon!

Remember the rewatch is highly interactive. So don't just read our tweets or the episodes, join our conversation!

Episodes viewing in this order
Season 2:
Hollywood Babylon
Season 3: Bad Day at Black Rock
Season 4:
Wishful Thinking

So get your DVD ready! As per usual, we'll have a 5 minute break in between each episode, so that you can go get yourself another drink or another pack of chips or do your 'business'.

You are welcome to come in and out during the marathon.

There were discussions about the inclusion of Ghost Facers or Abandon All Hope. Abandon was too sad, personally I am not ready to watch it again. With Ghost Facers, perhaps we can do a Ghost Facers Marathon later if everyone is game. Like Hell House, Ghost Facers, and It's a Terrible Life. Or we can do a Eric Kripke Marathon or Sera Gamble Marathon or a Mary Winchester Marathon or the Harvelle's Marathon. The sky's the limit!

Hope to see you at the Marathon. Follow me on Twitter.

You can also read the Rewatching Supernatural: A Guide from our friend, The Daily Buckets of Crazy. ^_^

Bring Me the Shanks!! Synopsis for Episode 5.17 - 99 Problems

Bring me the Shanks! That's right. If you are regular visitor of the Impala's Trunk, you'd know how badly I want Michael Shanks to be either Archangel Michael or God. But guess not.. It's still good to see one of my favorite actors on one my favorite shows.

Remember Riza from The End?
She is Lexa Doig, who is Michael Shanks' wife. She also played Dr Lam in SG1.

Synopsis:

MICHAEL SHANKS (Stargate SG1 & Smallville) GUEST STARS AS A HUNTER — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are outnumbered by demons, but are saved at the last minute by Rob (guest star Michael Shanks) and his townspeople, who are aware of the Apocalypse, and have been training to fight and kill demons. The small town is very religious and Sam and Dean meet Pastor Gideon (guest star Larry Poindexter), who introduces them to his daughter Leah (guest star Kayla Mae Maloney.), whom he claims is a prophet. Leah tells the townspeople they must obey her orders if they want a spot in Heaven but when she starts turning the townspeople against each other in the name of the Lord, the brothers realize they must kill her. Episode written by Julie Siege and directed by Charles Beeson.

Comment: So, we are back to the anti-Christ storyline. I wish they can somehow bring Jessie back. His character has potential. I have no doubt, this episode will be epic, because Julie Siege wrote it :D

Sneaky Previews for Episode 5.15: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid

Finally the preview clips are here. You know what that means? It means we are getting to the end of the hellatus. Woohoo you say? Indeed!!! And I am on lockdown.

Three sneaky previews of Episode 5.15: Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid:

Synopsis: It's Bobby's wife!! Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate Bobby’s home town where the dead are rising from the grave but instead of attacking humans, they are happily reuniting with their families. The brothers turn to Bobby (Jim Beaver) for help but he tells them not to worry about it and to leave town. Suspicious, Dean investigates and comes face to face with Bobby’s dead wife (guest star Carrie Anne Fleming) who has no memory of what happened to her. Once the zombies start turning evil, the boys tell Bobby he has to kill his wife but he refuses.

Supernatural returns on Thursday 25th March on the CW.

A Nice Day at The Beach; Journey into Across the Universe

While we are waiting for the painful hellatus to be over (Yes, that's right folks, Supernatural is returning to your screen - whether it be on your TV screen if you're US/ Canada viewers.. or your computer screen if you're just crazies like me from other part of the universe.) Where was I? Oh yeah... while we are waiting for Supernatural to come back, I went the beach. I've been wanting to go to the beach and just read a book or something. I did that today.

It was pleasant. Being on a weekday, it wasn't busy at all. I just looked at the Simpsons blue sky for like 15 minutes, read a few chapters of The Gunslinger by Stephen King, looked at the sky again, and then read some more. It was the best day in weeks.

What I wanted to share with you is my playlist. It was awesome to share the afternoon with the mother nature while listening to some of my favorite songs. I hope you like them too.

New Slang - The Shins
Just like Honey - The Jesus and Mary Chain
Kokomo - The Beach Boys
Cash Money - The Beautiful Girls
Dreams - The Cranberries
Traffic in the Sky - Jack Johnson
Long Way Round - Sterophonics
La Bamba - Los Lobos
California Dreamin' - The Mamas & The Papas
Time Capsule - Matthew Sweet

So anyway, on my way home, I realised that I was meant to download Hey Jude, but I kept forgetting. When I was in front of my computer, I realised that we can't download any original Beatles songs on iTune. But I came across a cover by Joe Anderson. I was like WHO? So I listened to it anyway. I know the originals are always the best (well sometimes) but Joe's version rocks!! 5 seconds into the song and I loved it already.

And then I realise it was a song from a movie soundtrack. The movie was Across The Universe, which was named after a Beatle song. So I started digging more information on the movie. And it turned out Across the Universe is one of those movies I'd love to watch. Like Garden State. The soundtrack contained many Beatles songs, sung by actors in the movie. NICE! I downloaded Across the Universe by Jim Sturgess and Strawberry Field Forever by Jim Sturgess & Joe Anderson. They are awesome!

Next step - I am going to hunt down the movie DVD!!! Wish me luck! It sounds like a really awesome movie to watch! I'll come back with a review.

I watched Alice in Wonderland 3D on the weekend. It was cute and awesome! Now that I've watched three 3D movies (MBV3D, Avatar and Alice), I am going to write something on this blog. No deadline, but it will be done.

Until next time! Have a nice week!

PS: Expect some spoiler clips on Bobby and Zombies to appear this week. Don't forget, Supernatural returns next week Thursday 25 March on the CW.

Supernatural News Digest: A Very Clark Kent Edition

This blog post may contain traces of all kinds of nuts.

Clark Kent you said? Yes, that's just random right?! Yes. totally! I can't think of anything suitable for the blog title! And we are just talking about Smallville on Twitter, so deal with it!

Captain Jensen talked about Dean vs Dean

Jensen Ackles talked about Dean (Jensen) vs Dean (Jensen) in one of my favorites Supernatural episodes, The End. Oh GOD I love The End. I love Dean. I love Jensen. I love his dog! I love Danneel. I even love Alan and Donna.. My Saturday coffee is a bit too strong.

Watch the video on The CW. I can't embed it. :(

*PS* There is still no word on the casting of Captain America. A fan's goldfish, Queen Latifah and Mr Bean are now also in the running of the title role.

Official synopsis for 5.16 Dark Side of the Moon

"SAM AND DEAN ARE KILLED AND GO TO HEAVEN — Ambushed by angry hunters, Sam and Dean are shot and killed and sent to Heaven. Castiel warns Dean that Zachariah is looking for them in Heaven so they need to lay low while searching for an angel named Joshua (guest star Roger Aaron Brown) who can help them since he talks directly to God. While searching for Joshua, the brothers run into some old friends and family members. Jeff Woolnough directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin."

Supernatural News Digest: A Very Uncle Bobby Update

I am liking the Bobby centric episode. New prom pics were released by the CW, thanks to Hunters' Addict for the awesome pics. Episode 5.15 Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid will air on March 25 on the CW. Can't wait for the fudging pointless hellatus to be over.

It's been also announced that the season 5 finale of Supernatural will be on May 13, while Smallville season 9 finale will be on May 14. That's gonna be a great weekend of TV viewing!

Matt Frewer will be making an appearance one of the Horsemen, Pestilence in episode 5:20 The Devil You Know. Sera Gamble said “Our first brush with him in episode 5.20 seems relatively innocuous and then unfolds into something more substantial. Put it to you this way: Horsemen on our show tend to think several moves ahead.“

Oh before I go, if you have a goldfish, it might consider auditioning for Captain America. There is a very funny article from a fan about this.

The episode title for 5.20 is release. It's called The Devil You Know. Crowley will return. AWESOME!

Dear Kripke - Surprise me!

And I should give you the heads up now, my 100th episode lockdown will have a different approach. This lockdown is different from other lockdown. With the usual lockdown, I am only committed to NOT to watch any preview clips, But with the 100th episode lockdown, I am committed to NOT to read any spoilers, promo photos, casting news and of course I won't watch the preview clips, (not even the TV promos). So, that means, I won't be posting any spoilers or news on the 100th episode. Go to WinchesterBros or Hunters' Addict or Supernatural by Krytonsite for more news.

Brave move you say? YES! Can I do it? Will I fail this lockdown? I really want a complete lockdown! On the bright side, expect a crap load of stuff in my 100th episode review!

One last spoiler before I sign off for the day, Mary Winchester won't be appear in the 100th episode, she will be in a few episodes before. Which guest stars will appear in the 100th episode? Well... Don't ask me! :D

By the way, I had a dream about Tom Welling last night. He said he would buzz me when he arrived at my apartment's courtyard for filming. And he did, but he did say anything to the intercom, but I knew it was him. So me and my friend sat on the balcony and waved at Tom and say WE LOVE YOU TOM. And then he waved back. And then I woke up. The end...

Suspicious, Dean investigates and comes face to face with Bobby’s dead wife (guest star Carrie Anne Fleming) who has no memory of what happened to her. "
With several CW shows returning to new episodes that week, they bobbed up to the top of the most DVR’d on a % basis ranks, as Smallville saw its adults 18-49 ratings increase by 44% after its airdate in its Live+7 ratings. While Vampire Diaries and Supernatural were just behind, adding 37% and 33% to their adults 18-49 airdate ratings respectively."
