We usually watch three episodes per Twitter Party.
Each Twitter Party has a theme, previously we've done Chadathon, which was dedicated to Dr BadAss and a Ben Edlund Marathon, dedicated to some of the episodes written by Ben Edlund.

How to join the Tiny Twitter Party
You just need to be on Twitter. If you are not, just go to Twitter and sign up.

If you are on Twitter, here are three ways to join us:

Follow me HERE & HERE

When tweeting, feel free to add the hashtag, #Papathon, in your tweet.

Get your DVDs/ downloads/whatever ready! We start each episode from the "Previously On".

There will be a countdown so that we can all press the play button together. Don't worry if you are a few seconds or minutes in front or behind. Every 10 mins or so, I'll tweet the viewing time of the episode, so that you know where we are up to.

You are welcome to come in and out during the Papathon.

Remember the Twitter Party is highly interactive. So don't just read our tweets or the episodes, join our conversation and make new friends.

We'll have a short break in between each episode, so that you can go get yourself another drink or another pack of chips or do your 'business'.

Anyway, hope you can join us at A Very Supernatural Papathon on Sunday 2nd May, 2pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Got questions? Find me on Twitter or post a comment here.

Hammer of the Gods: A Hungarian Sexy Beast Review

Remember this?

Who needs a hug?
Or if you prefer slow dance?
And... this
Weekly World News for the scholars?
Or if you have hit menopause, Dr Sexy is just the thing for ya.
Nutcracker anyone?
If you have genital herpes, you know what to do.
All good moments are proudly brought to you by Mr Trickster.
He likes candies and his ladies.
Let me start this week's review by saying this: 5.19 Hammer of the Gods was a Trickster/ Gabriel centric episode.

Hammer of the Gods was teleplayed by Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loflin, story by David Reed (who has been a script coordinator on the show for sometime). I had issues with Dabb and Loflin last time they wrote an episode, DSOTM. I thought Hammer was a much better effort by them. The episode was directed by newbie Rick Bota, who did a great job.

Was it a solid episode? Or was it a flat episode? Without having too much expectation, hugely due to the fact I know this episode was written by Dabb and Loflin, I think I have bashed them enough already, so I think I should shut my cake hole, we don't always get what we want. Anyway, I am surprised, in fact, VERY surprised I enjoyed this episode to the max!

Sad, YES! But Supernatural sent the Trickster/ Gabriel off in style.

Remember Tall Tales, Mystery Spot and Changing Channels? They all have his footprints all over them.
We know him by his mannerism and personality. He is always known as the candy loving ladies man prankster who has a soft spot on Sam in Mystery Spot. Hammer of the Gods has incorporated all these things we know about the Trickster/ Gabriel from the moment he entered the episode to finish.

Sure, not everything worked, but because I really loved seeing the Trickster/ Gabriel again and also guest appearance by Luci, I did't really care about the pagan Gods. On paper I thought this episode would focus on the Gods. I thought it was an interesting idea to mash the Judeo-Christian stories with the pagan Gods stories in one episode. I personally have not seen this done before in any movies or TV shows. So it was interesting to me to see the mix.

Supernatural
always have their own take on different kinds of folklores. We have seen episodes involving pagan Gods such as Mr and Mrs Santa (A Very Supernatural Xmas) and Leshii (Fallen Idol) before. I think it's logical for the show to ask what is the role of these Gods or other supernatural begins in the scheme of things or what they think about the apocalypse.
The scenes involving the Gods could've been written better, but to me they are not the focus of the episode, so, again, I can look past that. Lastly, I would have love to see the fight between the Gods Convention delegation and Luci to be more epic.

Intermission: spot the difference...

And now, we are back to Supernatural...

I flipping love the Trickster/ Gabriel in this episode. I have
previous mentioned that I reckoned Gabriel will help Dean and Sam, it was just a matter of time. The way he exited the show was epic in his own right. The Trickster/ Gabriel had never been too epic when it came to displaying his power. So in a way, you can't expect anything more epic than the way they've done it. I love his speech to Luci, it left me wanting more!!! Did he really die? I think so, because you can see his angel wings after Luci killed him. Casa Erotica was awesome! Only Supernatural can think of something like this!!!

Casa Erotica has revealed an
important piece of information to fans! It's not a secret and it's not spoilery at all. Dean and Sam WILL put Luci back to his cage. The next few episodes will hugely focus on finding the remaining Horseman rings and how the Winchesters will kick and lock Luci back to his cage in hell. The next few episodes will see how Dean and Sam strategically place the banana peel for Luci.

Luci discussed his evil plan with War.

I love Mark Pellegrino. He is getting soooooooo gooooooood at playing Luci. I will miss him when this is over! As Gabriel said, Luci is like a spoiled brat who crushed anything that is in his way, he hated anything that moved. I love the scene when Gabriel confronted Luci. Pellegrino interpreted the emotion so well in this scene. The moment before Luci killed Gabriel, I think I saw tears in Luci's eyes, fake or not? But after Luci killed Gabriel, he showed an emotion that I didn't expect to see. Was that a sad face from Luci? He didn't want to kill his own brother, but he had to. To me, that was an interesting reaction from Luci.

Intermission: Ghostfacers!!

Silly me! I seriously thought the GF were coming to a rescue or something! It wasn't a 'cut to commercial' transition, they actually used the special effect that is unique to GF
. What can I say? AWESOME!

And now, we are back to Supernatural...

The ending of the episode was awesome!
Luke was right about Darth Vader.... Oh wait.. wrong show... Dean was right about the Trickster/ Gabriel, there was still good in him. Casa Erotica is arguably the best WTF idea in the history of the show.

"Dean, this is me standing up!"
"This is me lying down!!"

A couple of technical notes:

- I LOVE the 'previously on'!! Love it!!
- I love the soundtrack at the end when Dean and Sam got into the car after they watched Casa Erotica. The soundtrack was so Terminator!
- Pellegrino put his own stamp on the slaughter scene.
I thought it was well done, considering the small budget they have for each episode. It's not the best, but it was great effort. It could have been a bit darker, but Pellegrino still creeped the hell out of me!

Hammer of the Gods scored 4 out of 5 stars from me. It would have been a 3 out of 5 if it wasn't the Trickster/ Gabriel and Luci.

According to TVbythenumbers, Supernatural scored 2.823mil, which was like a near season high.

[Spoiler] Promo & Preview of Supernatural 5.20 The Devil You Know

Get ready for a 3 part season finale!!! Here is the promo for episode 5.20 The Devil You Know.

This is not spoiler at all, but this is by far one of the best promo CW has done for Supernatural.

Here are the three sneaky previews of the episode.

Promo pics - 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight; 5.21 & 5.22 lock down reminder

Before the full lockdown for episodes 5.21 & 5.22, here are the promo pics for episode 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight. Not too spoilery, are they? At least you can't tell what's going on, except hotness. Source: SpoilerTV.

After episode 5.20 The Devil You Know, I will be going into the Panic Room for the full lock down! Meaning, I won't read anything about 5.21 & 5.22 or watch any clips on the episodes. So, please do not post any spoilers in the comment box. Hold your thoughts! ^_*

Synopsis for 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight

A full synopsis for Supernatural 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight has been released. For the original release, go to Shock til' You Drop. The episode is directed by Phil Sgriccia and written by Sera Gamble. It's been awhile since Sera wrote an episode for Supernatural. I cannot wait to see her her. As a tradition, I believe Erick Kripke wrote for the season five finale. The episode will air on May 6 on the CW.

The following synopsis has been altered for spoiler reason:

Stan Shunpike tells Bobby he will give him the location of the Death Eater in exchange for his freedom. Meanwhile Puppy Eyes and DEAR GOD DEAN need the 66th Horcrux to stop the You-Know-What. Sam and Dean confront the Ministry of Magic but Castiel must intervene on their behalf. Dean has a meeting with the George and Fred to discuss You-Know-Poo and Dean's Army is formed at a very low price for Dean.

Stay tuned for more details on the DVD.

Supernatural 100th episode - The Power of Love Review

Once upon a time, die hard Supernatural fans made a deal with the evil genius called Eric Kripke. He threw us down to the pit, tortured us with great characters and plot lines that are full of scary but sexy factors, humor, action, bromance, occasionally a suicidal teddy bear. Then he raised us from perdition and gave us a group hug.

"I'm just screwing with the fans!" He said.

Cut the birthday cake!! Supernatural 100th episode was awesome! After watching the episode, I get the feeling that we are getting back to the season one vibe. Saving people, hunting things the Winchester way, the way John taught them. Screw destiny!!!

I baked a cake. Congratulations to the Supernatural crew and cast ^_*

I should know by now that Supernatural is best known for changing the direction of a curveball in the middle of throwing a curveball, like the writers have a remote control to control the direction of the ball. You don't know how it will land. After it lands, it might still be rolling to another direction. You just don't know what's gonna happen until the 59th minute of the 11th hour. Am I am making sense?

Bobby's bachelor pad

Point of No Return is the evidence of the show reaching its maturity. Fans can debate all they want when it comes to the plot, the mytho and the direction of the show. But Supernatural does not forget one thing. This is a show about the brothers and the family. It's a show about saving people hunting things, the family business. This has been the focus of the show since the Pilot.

You can deal with supernatural creatures that are larger than life and they are more powerful than you are, but at the end of the day, family and friends will keep you sane and human. Sometimes, I think viewers forget that, and I think sometimes because some people keep classifying the show as scifi and fantasy but it's not, it's a DRAMA about the relationship of two brothers. If I may say so, Supernatural is better than its predecessor in the same genre.

Let's get on with it!

The Scary Movie Guy

There is no 'previously on', but when Supernatural doesn't have a 'previously on', it usually has a very good intro before the title card. Just like Monster at the End of the Book or Hollywood Babylon, Point of No Return has a great intro involving Zachariah (who will be referred to as the Scary Movie guy for the rest of the blog). I love how Jeremy Carver wrote the scene, the Scary Movie guy is very much like a senior executive douchebag who works at
Goldman Sach. He will do anything to get the business deal and the big fat bonus. I love Kurt Fuller in this episode, he went out in style. His performance was awesome!

The hosts from the Crossroads podcast called it! The Scary Movie guy is dead! Ding dong.... I like him in It's a Terrible Life, the pep talk was cool, but I guess we all know that's his style. He will do the sweet talk, then BOOM the head shot!

Again, every guest star is very well cast on Supernatural and they can all act! With shows like Smallville for examples, sometimes it's WTF.. Like that ice dude in Absolute Justice, he wasn't well cast and it wasn't the first time. Sorry guys!

Hey, Plan B, We Don't Want You Anymore

Let's talk about Adam, the 3rd brother. I like him in this episode, he wasn't himself in Jump the Shark, but he was himself in this episode. Jake Abel stepped up in this episode. He has to! Because of the heavyweight acting showdown with the cast. Jake has a resemblance to Matt Cohen's John Winchester.

"Hey Adam, the 3rd brother who is not a ghoul this time, we have a lot in common!
Our sense of fashion, our voice, our taste in women.."

I knew Jake Abel was going to be in the episode way before the lock down, so it wasn't a complete surprise to me. I didn't think too much about it. But poor Adam, seriously! He is cursed because he is a Winchester. What happened to him at the end of the episode? Dead (again) or alive (in a Michael kinda way)? To be honest, I don't see him as Michael, I guess I will be fine with it if he is, but he has a massive shoe to fill, because Matt Cohen was really good as Michael. I don't think this is the last time we see Adam.

How many adults did it take to restore Dean's faith?

A back-door launch for Supernatural: Back to the Future III (written by Tiny)
Er.. huh? What?

Bobby is awesome and we all know that! Dean said some really mean things to Bobby in this episode. When Dean said "You're not my father" to Bobby, I almost cried. Dean was the one who told Bobby he shouldn't give up! So, enough of this crap DEAN! Man up and fight!

Don't piss off the pissed off angel.

Castiel is pissed off and we all know it! In Lucifer Rising, Cas rebelled against Heaven all because of Dean. As the series develops, Cas shows his loyalty, he's become a friend to the brothers. I think he looks up to Dean. You can tell how pissed off Cas was in this episode. In the beginning, he was really quiet but pissed. The silent treatment was deadly. When things got boiled over, Cas just had to beat the crap out of Dean! WAY TO GO! If Cas is allowed to swear on Supernatural, I can see him swearing his lungs out and say: "I rebel for you, you piece of shit!"

Cas really kicked asses in this episode! I have never seen Cas fought so good before. Three fights in one episode and he won them all! How much more can I love this angel? I LOVE CAS!!!!!

Cas totally went Smallville in the last fight scene! I could hear Save Me when I see this!

Whoops.. I mean this! You go head and rip that shirt!

The Incredible Hulk who is also known as Sam
. Sam needs a hair cut.
The side is just a bit too wavy. The sideburns are too Elvis. The front of his hair is just getting a bit too high. You can tell that he has time to blow dry his hair. But it doesn't make sense when you're on the road and on the go, since when Sam has the time to style his hair and trim the sideburns?? I am sure Dean doesn't style Sam and I am sure Bobby doesn't have a blow-dryer.

Campaigning Sam to have a hair cut

OK.. seriously. I like Sam in this episode. He really tried to stop Dean from saying YES to Michael and he really tried to watch over Adam. I guess he now knows what it is like to be in Dean's shoes. At the end of the day, those puppy eyes really saved the day. Those puppy eyes made Dean changed his mind! That is all! No secret there! It's not complicated!

The power of puppy eyes save the big brother.

It took three adults to restore Dean's faith. Here comes Dean... do you know who he is? OH DEAR GOD! LET US PRAY!

While I was on lockdown, I missed two of the most delicious photos of Dean.. I am so sorry baby.

OK.. DEAN! The first scene of Dean in this episode was goood. I would love to get hold of that piece of music! The scene was very well written and very well shot! The sound effect of sealing the box and the key was awesome! Do you think the letter was written for Bobby or Sam? Jensen has sexy writing. Seriously, it was like preparing himself to die. But lucky! Puppy eyes showed up with a pissed off angel. That's what friends are for!

According to my source on Twitter, you can read Dean's letter to Sam. Blow up the image and you can try to read what Dean wrote.

It has been a depressing journey for Dean. The angels (or the writers..!) ripped his heart into pieces. He seriously couldn't get any lower! He was giving up! He just wanted to get this over and done with! But team free will won't give up on him because Dean never gave up on them before.

I like the pace of this episode. First you have Bobby having a go at Dean. Sam tried to talk to Dean. Cas was quiet but seriously pissed, finally he beat the crap out of Dean! Then came the crucial moment....

DEAR GOD! IT'S DEAN. THE DEAN!
(That would be my reaction exactly but 100 times louder!)

Dean: "I am Dean Winchester. Do you know who I am?"
Dude: "Dear God! ... Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy Name.."

Cas: "You pray too loud."

The Mighty Wink is Mighty

You got the puppy eyes, but I got the wink that makes the fans go wild.

THE WINK was epic! That was so Dean! The was the wink that changed the game plan. The wink that screwed destiny! The wink that killed the Scary Movie guy. The wink has become an icon of hope. The wink has become an instant classic moment on television. The wink has become Amy's Twitter avatar. I kneel before the wink of Dean Winchester.

Go Dean! I love you!
I love the curveball from Jeremy Carver! Just when you thought this was it, Dean had said YES, get over it. But then things changed! Oh God! I LOVE SUPERNATURAL.

Dean - The Sweet Ass

So, what makes Dean so special in a Heavenly way? Let's look at a few facts.

Back in season one's Faith, Roy said to Dean he was a young man with an important purpose, a job to do and it isn’t finished. (Foreshadowing much?)

We saw Dean killed the Whore of Babylon in 99 Problems. According to Castiel, the Whore could only be killed by a true servant of Heaven.

In When the Levee Breaks, Dean swore obedience to Heaven and the angels. At that stage of the series, we all thought Dean was just the righteous man who broke the first seal, he was given a second chance to serve Heaven. But of course, more was revealed later, he was THE vessel of Michael.

Dean had killed some major badass demons including YED and Ruby.

Dean killed an angel - the Scary Movie guy. According to Uriel, only an angel can kill an angel. Either he was lying or he was referring to the fact that only the angel blade can kill an angel. It seems that an angel can only be killed when it is in a vessel.

Dean looked into the eyes of the Scary Movie guy, he looked at the bright light without a flinch. May be it's nothing, but what is the significance of the extreme close up of his eyes? He also didn't cover his ears when Michael was coming down from Heaven.

Dean has never been possessed by a demon.

According to Kara, Dean is actually God. He has been looking for himself the whole time! Quick! Someone find Dean a mirror!

Could all the above make Dean a true servant of Heaven? Perhaps God has his own plan and he needed to train up Dean to finish the plan?

Point of No Return
was simply awesome! It was a very important episode. Now that Dean has restored his faith thanks to Sam, Cas and Bobby stood by him, what will happen next? How will team free will fight the angels and demons and protect the planet at the same time? We will find out very soon.

Only four episodes left in season 5. Don't miss a second of it! Spread the love. Tell your friends. Let's work on the power of love!

PS* If Jensen Ackles doesn't get a nomination at the next Golden Globe or whatever, you now the angels are behind it. But then again, Jensen is too goooood for those clowns in award shows.

One more for the ladies before I sign off!

Hey, ladies!

A Very Badass Chadathon: Thank you

TeamPanicRoom Presents
A Very Badass Chadathon

Thank you

The Twitter Party: A Very Badass Chadathon was a great success.
It was all business up front, party in the back! It was held today, 18 April 3pm AEST. We have a record crowd of participants for this Supernatural Marathon. We watched Everybody Loves a Clown, Simon Said and Hunted, in which Chad Lindberg played Ash aka Dr Badass.

While I cannot tell exact how many tweeps joined us, I can tell you that TweetChat was packed with tweets about the episodes. We all used the hashtag #Chadathon! We made some new friends too.
Amy and I were in 'twouble' at one stage.. it was funny! It was hard not to reach the 100 call limit to Twitter when we were tweeting about the awesome Dr Badass!!

Some of us even changed our Twitter icons to Dr Badass during the Marathon. I got a bit confused at the beginning, it was like talking to yourself! We were all Dr Badass!!

At one stage, the mighty Chad Lindberg made a guest appearance. Chad was 100 kinds of awesome!!! ^_^

I am planning the next Supernatural Marathon. It is likely to be a John Winchester centric Marathon. I think both the JDM John and the Matt Cohen John deserve a separate Marathon. But I will have a think about it and gather some feedback from #TeamPanicRoom. If you have suggestions, let me or any of us know!

Thanks again all ^_*

SPN LOCKDOWN REMINDER: Supernatural 100th episode

SPN Lockdown? Feels like I am in jail!

As a reminder, I am on a total panic room lockdown. That's why you don't see me posting any photos, videos or synopsis here. Simple because I don't want to know. I want to be completely surprised by the evil genius.

Therefore, I'd appreciate if you can keep your comment spoiler free. After we all watch the episode, we can go into SPN depression.... I mean discussion!!! ^_^

With the remaining episodes, I'll go back to the usual routine, I'll post the promo photos, videos and synopsis. But with 5.21 & 5.22, I will return to a complete lockdown.

Expect an extra long review from me on the 100th episode. I realise that I have a lot to say about the previous episodes, I guess it just happens that I have a lot to say.

Anyway.. hold that thought and we'll discuss it after we've all watched the episode. ^_^

Here is the promo, if you want to watch.
